Happy New Year to you all!!!!
I hope that everyone had a great festive break and that Santa brought you all lots of goodies. As for me, I got lots of goodies including a full on attack of Alopecia. As you may know from my recent posts, near to the end of November I had developed a patch on my left hand side just above my ear and on the right hand side my hair line was rising above the ear but I had left it for a while to see how things developed.
I should have shaved my head before Christmas but I was really busy and just ran out of time so I had decided to leave it for a few days. What a mistake!!!!!!
By Christmas morning my hair was coming out at a far more rapid rate than I had experienced with my first round of Alopecia. When I washed my hair so much was coming out that I was amazed. I left it until New Years Eve as there was so much going on that I just did not have time to do the big shave but on New Year Eve I paid a visit to Rod my pal who is a barber and had him take the remaining hair down to a number “o” before having it completely shaved with the full hot towel treatment. What a treat!!!!!! It feels so good to have the full hot towel treatment and it was such a relief to rid myself of the hair that was rapidly making its’ own exit.
It really does feel so much better having shaved it all off again. I feel so much cleaner and better in my self. I think the worse part of Alopecia is seeing the hair fall out every day. Once its’ gone then there is no more to worry about.
I now have a completely bald imager again which is good. The only draw back is that it really is cold with out hair at this time of the year so I need to get a couple more hats to keep me warm. I like to have one in the pocket of my various coats and jackets so that I’ve always got on with me.
The other thing I need to buy is a top up supply of Aloe Vera as a good coating of Aloe Vera after a shave makes the skin feel good and give you a great shine on top.
Here is to a great 2009!!!!!!!!
