I was just a baby when my spots looked like that,it wasn't untill my Alopecia got very bad that i discovered shaving my head was the best thing i could do for myself emotionally. It was a lot easier then seeing clumps of hair falling off of my head. Now I have AU I still shave my head not thats theres much to shave but it feels a thousand times better.
Hi Alyssa,
I think everyone is different, but from my experience it seems to creep up on you. My first was started as a quarter size, about a month later it had spread to about the size of the palm of my hand. I usually have re-growth after about 4-6 weeks. Again, everybody is different. I first tried a cream, then the steroid shots and Olux. They helped a little but I was getting them for so long I was worried about what the long term effects would be. Anyway, hang in there, it is tough to go through all the emotions that go along with this. Ping me anytime.
Take care,
Lisa

I've had this for 30 years! Now I have no hair. I guess it's better than wondering about fallout!
Just wanted to say hello.

Your spot looks like the ones I had long ago...I still have some hair but not a whole lot. Hanging on to what is left... :)
