I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

I have tried to call the Turkish pharmacy a few times, but unfortunately they are not picking up their phone. I'll try again tomorrow.

Are you in Instanbul, or just trying to speak to them before you go?

Hi XeljanzMiracle,

Is it ok if I PM you. I have a few questions about Xeljanz. You have to accept the friend request first.

Yes, I accepted it already. But why don't you ask me the questions on here? The answers might benefit others besides yourself.
Compounding Pharmacy info, address and phone number for Topical Xeljanz is on page 12 of Stanford Trials, Part 2 discussion. Posted by Jag. Cost was around $350. You need a prescription from your doctor.
Hi I posted this question on Susan's site try here.Is the cost of the cream 350.$ plus the cost of the pills they use to make it with?

Football fan, this topical cream is not made out of the pills. It's made out of the actual Tofacitinib. The exact cost is $335 for 30 grams shipped to your house.

So you don't need to buy the pills first? It's just 335 total for the total cost ?
Yes Katiegirl, isn't that wonderful? Jag just confirmed the same for pharmacy she used in Philadelphia. There's a $5 difference between the 2 pharmacies.

No pills Katiegirl

Football Fan and Xeljanz2015: I just want you to realize you guys are probably talking about TWO different pharmacies. One used by Dr. King (Xeljanz2015) for his trial patients, and one used by Jag in Philadelphia. Both of them get their Tofacitinib from Pfizer. Xeljanz2015, do you have the compounding pharmacy info for the tube you received from Dr. King? If so, can you post it for everyone? Sp06 received it also. Thanks

Xeljanzmiracle, it's the same pharmacy.
