I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

http://ayasofyaeczanesi.com/ has all the information you need. :)

THANK YOU!

is topical Ruxolitinib already out and does insurance cover that?

Dj88, I haven't heard anything about Topical R since October. You know what? Let's call that compounding pharmacy in Philadelphia and ask them if they will make it with a prescription. You call and I will call this morning too. Let's get back to each other re what they say. Also, don't forget to ask them what the price for a 30 grm tube of 2 percent Ruxolitimib mixed with the cream would be. Then we can compare the cost to Topical Xeljanz, which is $330 per tube. Thanks for being persistent in trying to get more info about Topical Ruxolitinib, since we know it worked on the 17 year old girl's scalp and eyebrows FOR SURE.
Here is a video interview of the guy behind the stem cell educator therapy(Yong Zhao), apparently they're working on bringing it to the united states:

Isn't this treatment know as prp? And they also use stem cells from fat cells? Which am sure a few clinics in the us do this procedure even tho it is not FDA approved.

Or is this different and what where all hoping for as the stem cell cure?
No its not prp. Basically its a system that circulates your blood through a device/machine called a stem cell educator and back into you after filtering it each time. Its kinda like dialysis for cancer patients but different. Its more complicated than that but its a really exciting new advancement for the treatment of autoimmune diseases in general. Heres a link about what exactly it is:

Ah brilliant ! I read on the link you posted that it's been through phase 1 and 2 trials in China , so am guessing they are on phase 3 which do you think if you want this treatment you will have to travel to China ? You think it's possible to get it now in China ?

If not it looks good and could potentially be on the market in the next 4-5 years I think.

You can explain what he says so that I can use the translator thank you I am French

They do this treatment in turkey. I have seen a advert for it on Turkish tv.

Thanks for thinking along Gabri, but this is a FUE hair transplant and only good for people with Alopecia Androgenetica, I don't see how this is stam cell related at all.

Sen Istanbul'da yasiyormusun?
