I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

Amazing. After having no response from topical Jaks and after seeing these photos I have decided to give oral Xeljanz a shot, thanks so much for posting. It seems the far majority of people on this site taking oral Xel are getting results

OMG SUCH BIG PROGRESS; I ABSOLUTELY LOVE UR POST GIVES ME SO MUCH HOPE. I LOVE U. HOPE THAT XELJANZ GETS TO EU SOON THO

Hi guys I was just wondering has anyone got a direct number to Pfizer ? Or email address ? I googled it and they gave me a number but when you ring it takes you through several options and then disconnects you !..

So did anyone go to Turkey recently  to buy some Xeljanz?

Doesn't seem to be the safest place to go now  :/

My daughter has been on Xeljanz for 6 months now and is regrowing significant, dark and long hair growing on her head and last night she was talking about needing to shave her legs again for the first time in two years since this journey of alopecia started.

We did the topical from the PA pharmacy for several months with no results whatsoever and then changed to the oral and the success with oral Xeljanz has been amazing. While we don't know if it will last in the long term when she does go off of it, we are seeing results that are miraculous based on the journey thus far!!

Unfortunately the hair fall down again if your dauther will interrupt the therapy with Xeljanz.  My daugther has the AU, too. We try two times to reduce to one pill a day, but after one month the hair started to fall down again. Anyway the therapy is miracoulous and it has any negative effects on her. The only negative aspect is the cost of Xeljanz!

Raffaella, I'm also in Italy, where did you buy it if I may  ask?

In Turchia. Costo indicativo 560 euro a scatola
