I was diagnosed with FFA in March and LPP (after going to the dermatologist about diffuse scalp pain) in April, but only recently developed (or noticed)  some small, circular bald spots. I'll probably go see the derm soon about it, was wondering whether others on the forum have this kind (or other kinds) of hair loss as well. (I'm attaching a picture!)

For me, I've just had a gradually thin I g all along my side and top hairline. I thought behind my ears looked suspect for being bald in a shape but my hairstylist assured me it's how my hair is there.

Have you had a scalp biopsy?
Best wishes to you.

Same here, I have the FFA receding on my front hairline and also definite thinning at the top-   hoping for good news for you from the dermatologist & by the way, I like your short hairstyle in the photo, very cute!

Thanks! It's so much comfier than having tons of very thick hair (except, of course, in the front!) and also makes it way easier to conceal my hairline.

I have the typical FFA pattern [forehead, temples, around ears] and also have AGA - Androgenetic Alopecia - a 'female pattern baldness' that has been tolerable but is now rather rapidly progressing.  There is very little hair on the top of my head and significant thinning on the crown/upper back of my head.  Getting very difficult to deal with other than full-on hat, scarf, or wig.  Here are a couple good articles.

This may be alopecia areata.

I have FFA and the start of female pattern baldness.

Linda, do you think the injections are helping?  Slowing things down?  I'm not familiar with Humira injections for alopecia, but have been getting corticosteroid injections for over 3 years.  They had been keeping my hairloss to a minimum, though progressing.  But after missing a few, my hair is now dramatically receding and thinning.
