And then there are the odd old age sleep patterns like waking UP at 3 am after crashing at 9 pm, being unable to go back to sleep, and then having to put in a day's work, alert and cheery. Good thing this is now Saturday. I feel a senior daytime nap is on the horizon!
Ok Norm, it is 6:30 AM now and I don't think I will be able to make it to 8! I am trying to hang ;)
Marisa! When can I come and couch surf? Ha ha. Good for you. It takes a lot of guts to go bold...er, bald.
Well I have been in Hawaii for almost 3 months now...things are going well in my new wig free life...it is bandannas all the way or bald now....life is very interesting for us. My sis and brother in law are running a little C-Store, working 7 days a week and going to the beach 7 miles away about every other day for a few hours...life is good. Aloha!!!
Well, Cheryl, there's nothing like being prepared.... but as the kid in here, you have to promise to behave yourself, and not run off with our walking sticks and zimmers just for fun. Oh, and only speak when you're spoken to, and remember we're all in bed by 8.
A.M, that is ;)
OK, I am not quite 50 yet... but am closer to 50 than 40? So I thought I would get a head start. ;)
Thanks, Leslie! Lexi, the wig is Raquel Welch's "Embrace" with the ends trimmed off. It is on its last strands, and I almost got bangs cut today to hide the hairline. Bought it December 29, 2012 (go see my photos on my page). The scarf I found hanging with other scarves in a vintage shop in Grass Valley, CA. I also bought one with purple, pink, white and other colors to match my purple shirt, but ended up not wearing it during the weekend. I opted for the wig on Day 2 and Day 3 of my weekend, for photos. The scarves appeared to be new, not vintage.
Like the scarf. Love the wig. What is it? And where did you get the scarf? You look great. Happy belated.
Back from my fun 60th birthday weekend in mountain towns. Stay tuned for a photo sometime this week. The hat in the photo below? Dorfman Pacific Company. But on my actual birthday, it was too hot driving up so I ditched the wig and ended up wearing a different hat, new scarf or both for the rest of the day, even in shops and when meeting new folk!
