Does anyone have any insight into why the wait is so long?

This is a great discussion. Hopefully, maybe the people in New Zealand are following this thread..I paid my rep in four equal payments by check. She was very nice to setup payments for me so I didn't have to pay the whole thing at once since it is quite a bit of money. I'm not sure how we are covered in the event of a disaster but from what I'm hearing, it's taking longer and longer to get pieces made. That is kind of crazy. I have a wedding in October that I was hoping to get an order in for but it doesn't sound like I will get it in time. I'm looking into some other options of pieces that are similar to vacuum's just to see what else is out there. I'm willing to pay for a good piece but waiting 6-8 months seems crazy to me...

For the many of you on here where are you all located in the U.S.? Who are your FW sales rep? When I was living in Il. I worked with Karen Peterik. She was outstanding to work with and always got back to me in a timely matter. She also had so many hairstylist that she knows that was familiar in cutting her client's vacuum wigs that she reffered to.

Sharon, you and Nicole are very lucky that ya'lls order has been spot on since you guys are in NZ. For others like me in the U.S. I agree with Jessica and Seed.

Our times have always been spot on with Nicoles Freedom wig on time if not earlier =)

Thea (and others), my rep has always gotten back to me within a day with my questions, but I felt they could have initiated contact at least once or twice with an update. I feel extremely far removed from the actual company that makes the wigs though. I am really hoping there are no problems when I do finally receive my hair as I will not be willing to wait another 6 months if it comes down to it. Not for $$$$ at least!!

Deb, mine was about a month late and I wouldn't have known if I didn't contact my rep and ask. I still haven't received it, but got confirmation today that it was shipped from NZ. I ordered Nov. 20 or so. 6 month turnaround time, jeez!

Just curious - how accurate was Freedom Hair with their estimated ship date - earlier? on time? later?

I'm trying to plan a trip to get it styled and was wondering about other's experience with this.
Thanks!!!

Thank you everyone! I think I am going to leave it as it is for the moment and think some about a fringe later on. I am getting more used to it and I am just swapping wigs at the moment, I wonder if people are noticing that my hair grows overnight!

Porcelinh, my hair is 12", I couldn't get any longer than that. Not that I need it any longer anyway!

Pat, I will have had my other freedom wig for 2 years come June. It's lasted really well and does not need repairs yet, but I know a lot of people end up needing repair after about a year. I ordered my second one back in September last year, I think, but it took a long time because I was living in Canada then, and the cap had to be sent from Australia to Canada, then a Skype chat with my agent followed to check the fit and then the cap had to be sent back. And the mail is not very fast in the part of Canada I was living in!

Karina you new wig is beautiful..... I love that it is slightly different from the other one. You have a choice on whether you want to sleek and straight or curly sexy! Beautiful!
