I'm 25 and was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata 1 week ago, guess I'm just going to use this to think about how I feel about all this, my fears, my worries, my amazing friends, brilliant family and ever so supportive boyfriend. The first experience I had of Alopecia was when I was around 16, my cousin introduced me to her boyfriend, and explained to me, why he had no eyelashes and no eyebrows etc, I remember thinking to myself, WOW He's so brave! Hugs...
I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!"
