Like the title said this is my answer and I came back to write about it so that maybe it could help at least one person. I'm new to this. Recently I've lost several patches of hair. I have 3 bald spots. So I went to a Harvard graduate hair loss specialist. She doesn't think that I have alopecia areata. still waiting on biopsy results. What else could this be? Had my thyroid checked... all fine. Had my hormones checked... all fine. just a high white blood cell count.

are the spots in alopecia areata supposed to be pink inflamed and painful? mine hurts when I move my hair... is that normal?
