Am I perpetuating the fear of being discovered?

Have you ever walked down the road, sat in a restaurant, or been in Safeway and seen someone who's wearing a wig? Most of us are hard to spot because we have spent years trying to make ourselves look like everyone else... but much like LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered) have "Gay-dar" I think those of us with Alopecia have "wig-dar". What I'm worried about is that I'm perpetuating the fear of being discovered.

Why shaving your head is liberating

So your hair has started to fall out in patches and you`re trying to hid the evidence of your Alopecia. Its tiring, overwhelming, and just pain upsetting. All us have been there. Lucky in love

Good morning :)



Yesterday was my first post ever and it was such a great experience that i couldn't help but post again this morning.... I know its 10am, but Im a huge night owl and was up pretty late working on my bike.

Give the World some credit :)

Hello everyone,



Never posted on a site like this before but I figure I should give it a go.



Maybe a little background is a helpful. I have had Alopecia all my life... haven't we all? My hair started to fall out when I was 11 and over the years has grown back and all fallen out again. I've tried almost everything (light treatment hasn't really excited me enough to bother with yet) but nothing has seemed to work.
