Sometimes You Gotta Just Laugh!

I need a laugh today and maybe you do too. Some days I wish I didn’t have the bald thing going on and some days I don’t mind it at all. How ever I feel about it I think that a person should be able to see humor in any situation. When Brittney Spears shaved her head a magazine was on our break room table with her on the front. I picked it up to have a look at the story and someone that works in our building came in the break room and said “Well Donna I think you should shave your head bald just like old Brittany there!” This was not long after I started wearing that first wig that made me feel like Cousin It but I about died laughing. I told him I thought I would because I knew I’d look hot like that but inside I was rolling on the floor howling with laughter. He obviously did not know about my situation and I’m glad because it was the funnies thing ever. It gave me a really big boost that day and I still laugh out loud when I think of it.

haha! That reminds me...when I first started wearing a wig, I came into work and this girl says "Lee...you better stop coloring your hair or it's gonna fall out!" Too Late!! I was dying! ;)

This reminds of the time I went to a party and this hairstylist loved my hair so much, the colour and style. I took my hair off and asked if she'd like to bring it home. You should have seen the look on her face (and everyone elses because most of them know about my hair). LMAO

i like to play with friends when they ask for hair ties and say i have one they can barrow. sometimes it takes them a while to realize i don't have any because i don't have hair. and they usually feel like an idiot and really bad, but i just laugh.

I've been in similar situations with people where they've commented on so and so's eyebrows. These are people that I'm not close to so maybe they don't know about my alopecia but all I can do there is sit there say to myself "have you even looked at me?? I have NO eyebrows and only 1 1/2 sets of eyelashes".
