I know I post quite a few blogs but this one touched my heart.
My daughter came downstairs as I was watching tv and says to me, Mom could you please flat iron my hair?,I told her please dont ruin your beautiful curls they are gorgeous, she begged me. Needless to say after trying to convince her NOT to iron her hair out I did it for her.
She went upstairs to her room and about 20 minutes later she came back downstairs and said,Look at me now, I'm almost as beautiful as you mom!! What do you think?
She added some clip on extensions to her hair , she told me she was trying to be beautiful like me.
my daughter is one beautiful girl ,she is 11 years old and has the most beautiful curls I had ever seen however for her to do such a thing touched my heart as well as made me shed some tears, but sure as hell left me with a smile to remember!!!!!

Somthing I just had to share on here !!

Those are the moments that make you forget about alopecia! I never understood why kids always want to have something different. I do remember when I was young I hated having brown eyes and wanted green. My eyes changed a little to more hazel and I get compliments on them all the time.

Hmmm... unless someone's particularly full of themselves, I think everyone's their own worst critic (just look at all the Beautiful Peeps on here and their comments for evidence of that). Everyone wants to change something about themselves.... except for me. I want to change EVERYTHING! Especially the overdraft. :)

So, there you go, L-L... the only one who's having trouble recognising your beauty is you. Hurry up and get to the "eff it" stage with your hair, and you'll see it too!
