hey kirsten. i know how you feel. ive lost my eyebrows twice! it really does suck. what i did was i penciled them on. i just put a little bit on when i went out untill i got used to it. the worst thing though was when i lost them the first time. after they grew back it was only a matter of days before they fell out again. i hope youll feel better soon.
lots of luv

Eyebrow loss is the toughest thing. It's like I dont have an expression to my face.
I do have the tattood euebrows and that helps alot but they fade rather quickly so I go in for touch ups every 2-3 months.
I've been on a diet to lose a few extra pounds so at least I can get my jawline back.

Hi Kristen
I have just recently lost my eyebrows too. It was the one thing that I hoped wouldn't go, but of course now they are gone. I am very sad that this happened and I am mourning the loss. Doing the pencil them in right now, but my bangs on my wig covers it up. Sorry to hear about your loss too, try to hang in there!!

Hey Kristen,

My hair loss sounds similar to yours. When I started to lose the hair on my head, I figured it would just stop there. But, it was my senior year in high school, and I was a cheerleader, and I was at a game on a Friday night, and I was stretching before the game, and I reached down to my right side to grab my foot and stretch and realized my legs were completely smooth and it had been like a week since I'd shaved. I thought to myself, there's no damn way this is true. Later that night I looked in the mirror, and on my left eye, there was a clump of about 4-5 eyelashes missing right from my top lid. I started crying! It was horrible! I realized I was on a downward spiral losing all of my body hair, too. My hair wasn't completely gone either. By the time I lost almost everything, my lashes and brows had caught up and they were almost completely gone too. It was so devastating, like I know it is for you now. But, somehow, you get better each day at applying the eyebrow stuff and eye liner, and it becomes easier. I believe the onset of my alopecia was stress related too. But, yes, I agree with everyone here, you should just find a solution that works for you. Either draw them on, get the injections, get them tattooed, or whatever makes you feel the best about you. I wish you the best of luck! Have fun in Mexico!!

I know its a little more expensive and a little painful and uncomfortable at first, but I've felt a lot better after getting permanent makeup done after I tried the injections for a while and they didn't really work for me. I've done my eyebrows and might do the eyeliner this Summer or next year. So, if that's a possibility, I'd recommend it! I understand, though, know you're not alone!

Alopecia is so unpredictable. There's no rhyme or reason or a set pattern it follows.
I know Grrrrrr. keep breathing....

thanx guys for the uplifts. losing my eyebrows has put me into a very depressed state. i am feeling like i dont want to leave my bed. the only thing that gets me out of bed is my kids and the fact that i want to see if the ups truck came yet with my passports so i can go to mexico. i dont understand something tho cuz all the hair on my head is not gone yet. i mean its gone in a big patch in the back and the top is very thin (if i would let it grow back in) so i have to shave my head almost everyday and now i dont understand why i am losing my eyebrows so fast.

Losing the eyebrows was the toughest for me too.
You can try the cortizone injections or go for the tattoos like I and others have.

Keep your spirits up.

Kristin, I know exactly how you feel. I lost my eyebrows and lashes just about a year ago...I knew it might happen because I was going AU, but I hoped it might stop at my scalp only. It was SO upsetting when I realized they were going. I had very thick, distinctive eyebrows, and I think it was harder on me to lose them than it was to shave my head.

What I did was to go and get permanent eyebrow tattoos done before all the eyebrow hair was gone, so that the makeup artist could follow my natural brow line better. I'm glad I did that.

My husband loves me no matter what, too. That has helped a lot. Please know that you're not alone and that you'll still be you if you lose your eyebrows and lashes. I'm still me. Hugs, Mary
