My gawd, I feel great!
I what was left of my hair off, then had my husband go over it with clippers. I'm getting ready to take a shower & will go over it with a razor.
I cannot believe what a relief it is to just be done with it! Who knew?
And, I have to say, that even though I just found this group, last night, after browsing through pictures & reading stories, I have to thank you all!
Seeing the pics & reading......I finally came to terms with this in my own way, took a sigh of relief & am now at peace! FINALLY! After 10+yrs!
What a great feeling!

Hi Amy,

Congratulations on your peace!!!

Jeff
congratulations!!
Well done Amy. When I took this action in my dark AA days, I felt reborn.
Its such a positive action yet so difficult to take that step.
Think when you are loosing you hair, you cling desperately to what is growing but when you take it off yourself
you feel much more in control. I have no growth and no shaving anymore. So save a fortune on Mach3 razors.
Glad you feel great
I am so proud of you Amy! That is a huge step! Now you get to be bald and beautiful like the rest of us ;o)
Congratulations on taking such a monumental step!!!

When my Todd and I made the agreement that he would be the one to cut my hair off should the need ever arise, I thought that when the time came he would find some way to back out of it. About 2 months into my regrowth phase, the head and scalp pain and the migraines had come back to such an extent that I had no choice but to cut my hair off. Todd was wonderful throughout the whole thing -- we went the opposite route though and used clippers first (Todd being a barber thought that this was best) and then I went over the rest in the shower with a razor. Even Todd has noticed how much more peaceful and happy I am with the world in general with not a stitch of hair on my head, and I feel just as peaceful as you!

Once again, congratulations to you and your husband! The peace that comes with total acceptance is hard-won, but oh so sweet when you finally taste it! Savor every moment!!

I am sooo seriously considering. If only because that nonstop, incessant tickling from hair. It's like slow torture, isn't it?? Congrats!
Im very proud of you for taking the step to wellness.

Eileen
yay! What are you plans? Are you going to go the wig route, or go au natural??

Either way, I am glad you made the choice, and felt so good after following through with the commitment
I have never seen a woman bald meaning no hair at all who wasnt far more beautiful without that ugly hair.
Hugs and I'm so happy for you.

way to go!!!!!!!!

Eileen
