I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

For me I’m on 15 per day. Have landed 3 beacon orders to my door in the states with no problem via EMS shipping.

Hi Nicole,

I am trying to do a wire transfer to Beacon and I'm not sure is the recipient's address if correct. Do you put the address to be:

9/A, Toynbee circular Road, Motijheel
Dhaka, Bangladesh 1223

Hi, no,

Use their hong kong address off of their invoice

Here is copy and paste out of my chase wire transfer:

Recipient:

BEACON Medicare Limited
Flat2004, 20/F, BeelHouse Blk A
525-543 Nathan Road, Yau MaTei
Kowloon, Kowloon, HK

Recipient bank:

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited
1 Queens Road Central
Kowloon, kowloon, HK

how much do they cost with beacon??

Also, How do I know if should increase my dose from 10mg to 15mg a day? Whats the method to identify this?

I am clearly responding at 10mg a day, but I dont know if at the proper speed, I have been on it for almost 2months already, I would say I have 40% regrowth averaging all my body parts.

If I switch to 15mg, does speed increase? or the switch is only necessary if at 10mg you are non responder??

Thanks

Did you do it yourself online or go into the bank? I'm not sure how to enter the address when entering a recipient.. It asks for address, city, province, and postal code. I don't see a postal code here and what is the city and what is the province. Also, it doesn't allow me to use special characters like a comma or /. I have a chase account too.

15$!!!??? Yahooo!! that I can afford!, can you please walk me through the buying process @nicoleT please?

Yes super easy! Email them. Tell them how many packs of 30 you want. They will email you and invoice with wire instructions to their bank hsbc in Hong Kong. Go to your bank and write transfer to their bank. Send beacon the wireconfirm and signed invoice. They will send you a tracking number and you should have within 2 weeks!

thank you nicole,

whats their email I should write to?

Do I have to make the wire transfer in the bank? couldnt I just do it online? whats the difference?

I got mine microbladed and they arent bad, but not the same and in the light they arent perfect. Going to start searching for eyebrow wigs

Hey Carlie

So the first few times i went into the bank but then they finally told me i could do it on line which is easier and cheaper so that what i did last time. heres screen shots of how i have becaon entered as a receipient in my chase acct.

carlie i think so long as you have their account number correct, just getting as close as you can on the address is fine. they will get it

Thanks Nicole, that's helpful. I see you were able to use special characters in the address. I'm not sure why mine isn't letting me do the same. Also, it's saying I need a postal code (zip). I hate to have to go into the bank and pay 100.00 for them to do it!
