I think bald women are the most beautiful things on earth. I'm pretty sure there are girls out there in the world who think of bald men that way

Paul, I understand what a blow to ego and self identity and self esteem the sudden loss of all hair can be. However, it does not change WHO nor WHAT you are as a man. You are a good looking man with hair and I bet just as masculine and handsome without it. Please include some recent shots and I'm sure you will see YOU are still great!

Yea, my issue is also "can they tell it is a wig?"
Or, what if they want to go to the beach or something? Or anything athletic where you have to sweat? Stresses me OUT!
(insert sad face here)

I have dated only 3 or 4 guys since I started wearing wigs (October 09) and I have told all either up front or on the first date. I am so self-conscious about it and feel that it might be an issue, so I put it out there - openly and honestly. I think each situation has its own circumstances and you should handle them however you feel is appropriate.

Ya that works for a girl with a wig but guys don't have that option its pretty much the first thing anyone sees or notices so do you just say nothing about it till the third date? My last date was a girl set up by a third, blind date so I assumed the arranger (a girl friend of mine) told her what was up with my bald nugget , I didn't feel the need (yet) to talk about it, we've been out like 3 times now and still no drama or discussion

Erm, as a newbie here, I notice that there seem to be lots of peeps asking about "how to date" or "when to tell him" etc., ... I dunno, I might be breaking some sort of taboo suggesting this (ahhh, now you're interested, yeah? :) ), but might it be an idea to have some sort of dating thing on here? It'd neatly circumvent a lot of the stress and pressure if you could hook up with someone who already knows and is in a similar state/doesn't mind/likes it/whatever (delete as appropriate). Good idea? bad idea? Whaddya think??

Hi there Yvonne, how's tricks? Just a quickie in response to your dilemma (how to mention it when dating) - I think it's best to be upfront about it, before you've even met. Say something along the lines of "Look, there's something you need to know before we go any further..." Then, if he backs off for any reason - great, move on. But if he's still interested.... well, Game On! Anyway, as a fella, I think that's how I'd prefer it. (This is where I get loads of "No, no, no!" comments.... :)
