I’m thankful for these donuts I’m eating does that count?

I'm thankful that it's Friday and my students and I have two days to enjoy ourselves. I'm visiting with a friend this evening (might bring a bottle of wine and something to nosh) and hitting the slopes on Saturday. But, today, Clara, even though I am at school today teaching history and Language Arts, I will visualize hanging by the pool with you in Singapore -- it will make everything a little more pleasant. :-)

Clayton, what's wrong, there are no threads here, we all share bits and pieces of ourselves, please come back.

OMG 72 essays and grading them while having a head cold no less.. hope that went ok! Yes, I'm pretty lucky to be able to hang by the pool every once in a while. If you were in Singapore, i'll invite you over so you can hang by the pool while grading papers!

Today I'm grateful because I'm going to be making pineapple prawn curry from scratch! Hopefully that'll go over good with my bf.

Clara -- I wish I was hanging by the pool! I'm nursing a head cold while grading papers (I have 72 8th grade essays to grade --- is there such a thing as death by tediousness?)

I grateful that I have an opportunity to say, "Hey, Clayton! Welcome! What's new? What's good in your life today?" (And maybe keep him from running away!) :-)

I was looking back over past posts to this discussion and I don't see that you've made any before. I think we are all "outsiders." I don't know anyone here; I just follow the posts and comment.

Susan -- How is Jon doing? Since I'm a teacher and I'm always aware of social situations around school, I find myself thinking about him quite often. I'm always trying to send some positive, hopeful energy in his direction.

Well, I bought a Hyundai Tiburon. The two other cars I was seriously looking at were the Scion and the Eclipse. I liked the Scion and almost made an offer on one. The Eclipse looks great, but it has a LOT of road noice. My car only had 7000 miles on it and it still smells new! I've never enjoyed driving a car before, but with the Tiburon, sometimes I just..go for a drive!
