This year we have had the worst summer ever. The weather has been terrible with lots of rain and on many days it has been cold but the sun actually shone briefly on Sunday. What a wonderful feeling it was to have the warmth of the sun on my bald head. The strange thing about being bald is that it brings to your attention the whole aspect of self image. Before having Alopecia self image was not something that I thought of very much, I was how I was. Having lost my hair I am in a position of having had a before image and a new image. The weekend was pretty poor really. Daughter trouble! How they can make life difficult! Who would think that a 16 year old girl who is loved and looked after so well could cause so a bad weekend but she did!
