I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

sometimes i think the best thing for guys is to get some cool eyeglasses that the top hits right where the brows are supposed to be.

as a female i wore a wig with thick bangs that covered where my brows should have been.

and penciled them in. not as many options for guys i guess

now mine are back thanks to xeljanz

Hey @NicoleT

Would be so kind as to let me know the price for Tofacinix 5 or XR on beaconmedicare.com?

Yup! $15USD for a box of 30 pills. 5mg each.

Only $15? That is very cheap, sure it is the real deal?

That’s a standard generic price for any drug in the world. Yes I’ve had it tested in a lab. I posted the lab results on this site. But my hair is proof enough that it’s the real deal.

Yes, I said the same thing. I live in California and I've just placed my first order. I haven't received it yet but that's the price I was quoted.I could hardly believe it, especially with it marked up like it is. I have been buying from another very good source but it was a little more expensive. That brand was Tofanib and this one is Tofacinix.

How many MGs are you taking a day and any problems getting them shipped to USA?

20 mg. So far so good from the other supplier. This will be the first time ordering through Beacon. I started getting my hair back 4 months ago after I did a prednisone pulse. It's still coming in but it seems slow.

What was the name of the other supplier?

ujwalapharmaceutical81@gmail.com, everything went well with him and the brand was Tofanib.

Hi Carlie Do you live in Los Angeles was wondering what Doctor you go to.

Hi Football fan, I wasted a year going to a dermatologist in Granite Bay and my GP before I got a referral to a UCSF dermatology specialist, who actually had alopecia when she was a teenager, so she chose this as her specialty. Her name is Jennifer Fu. She helped me get the first 3 months of xeljanz, free from Pfizer. Then I went to Mexico and bought some more before I learned about the generic version from Bangladesh. If not for this group, I wouldn't have even known to ask for Xeljanz or pulsing steroids. All my doctors were completely clueless. I even had a nutritionist put me on a very limited diet, which I followed to the T for a year with no change.
