UPDATE ON MY WIG

Well ive been wearing it a few days now, im finding it still quite odd, im finding that the hair at the nape of the neck underneath tends to get a bit tangled as the day goes on, i also find that it itches quite a bit too especially around the top of the forhead hair line. Couple weeks ago my mom had a lady that kept coming in to have her blood drawn over and over on her thyroid and then white blood cell count and etc so finally my mom asked why are we doing all this. wow. i went 2 a football game last nite w/ tommy. we hung out with spencer cj cole kate katie cristina jack some dude with jack and a buncha poeple i forget. anyway. spencer and cj were try to get tommy 2 hug me ALL nite. spencer was like grabbing tommy trying to get his arm around me and tommys like "whats the point if im being forced?" and im so glad he didnt bc he was forced. ughh i keep getting off topic. Haven't bloged in a while

I haven't been here much lately, just enough to check up on things. I'm officially single now, my ex moved out three days ago (finally after I helped him move) and my emotions are still a handbag of variety. OMG ive actually gone and done it!

As some of you may know (or not) I have for the last three years been having an intergrated system, it cost an absolute fortune to get it done first off, then every 6 weeks thereafter i have to travel to London to have it re-adjusted again at quite a large cost, one that my family have been struggling to keep up with, which makes me feel very quilty each time.

My wife Mistie just left to go to work as she works the night shift at a local hospital here in Orlando Florida.

why do i feel so alone?

hi, friends...

there were several days passing,

i felt like "ill", but did not want to go to any doctor..

Oh dear.

It's 10:15am and I'm sat here debating with myself whether to get a shower because the amount of hair that comes out in the shower scares me. And it's annoying because the bar of soap gets covered in hair and then I have to pick it all off so that I can wash myself. No one knows how much hair comes out of my head. UGGGHHHHH!! Just having an emotional day and needing to vent.

If I had a dollar for each time someone has told me that at least my son doesn't have cancer or some life-threating situation going on so "what's the big deal". beware of falling branches.

Sorry for the absence as of late. School + work + activities + sleep = not a lot of spare time.



They're doing tree trimming outside of my apartment this week. It's created such a mess and I hate ducking to avoid falling branches. It's even worse when stuff gets in my hair and I don't notice because I can't feel it!

Hair transplant????

Just a question to throw out there..... I saw Oprah yesterday and the were talking about hair transplants and how they have improved over the years. Does anyone know if they are ever used for AA? Can someone else donate hair for say a family member? Is it not effective because the patients immune system would attackor reject the hair if Alopecia is not in a remission? Thank You.

I'm someone for whom self-esteem has always been a battle, even more now with AT. I'm someone who firmly believes in function over fashion, so wearing a wig all the time simply isn't my top priority. well, i am a tattoo person as you can see from my pics and i would like to get a new tatt to mark this period in my life. if it was breast cancer i would have a really cool pink ribbon drawn and that would be that tatt, but is there anything like that for alopecia? is there any kind of symbol? if not, any ideas would be great.
