elimination diet stopped my hair from falling out

Hello all,

I hope that this information will be helpful. I had aa once 14 years ago. I had a couple of small patches on the back of my head, I got the cortisone shots and it went away within a year. 2 months ago I noticed a patch on the side of my head. Ever heard of Clouston Syndrome?

Hello,

Visited with a new Derm yesterday here in CA. I didn’t technically go to see him for my Alopecia – I went to discuss my extremely dry, itchy, cracked palm on my right hand. He told me that I had Keratosis Palmaris, gave me a steroid shot and prescribed me some ointment. He advised me that although they weren’t connected in anyway, the meds may also help the Alopecia.

2nd dermotologist appointment

so my second time wasnt much better.... i went to the same mean dermotologist who still insisted i had trichmillia and let me tell you guys i no im 100% positive i dont pull my hair out 100% positive. she said it looks like trichmillia and that she want me to have a biopsy and no way i mean no way am i letting her do that to me. maybe if i trust ed the doctor but not her, so my mom thought i should do it but i said no it would hurt a lot and i dont trust my doctor so my mom said i was going to… Continue

life has changed in 9 days

i cannot believe the difference in Lynn since BALD OUT 2009 ONLY 9 days ago and joining Alopecia World

Hair Transplant

As some of you may know, I got a hair transplant 2 months ago. I am curious about those who have Alopecia. I came here for support on my hair loss and know you all support male pattern baldness. I know that hair transplants don't work for you all but if it did, would you consider getting one?

Work is Boring!

Working the horrible 11am-9pm shift today. Clearly not busy, hence me blogging at work. I think i have made a total of $8 so far...which will pay for my lunch! Hopefully the dinner shift is better. Boss just walked by, hopefully i don't get in trouble for being on my computer. But what else is there to do!? Time for lunch. Salad with grilled chicken, blue cheese, dried cranberries, and onions. Yuuuuum.

Just lost....

I think I am at my lowest point. I have almost no hair left and I just cry all the time. I don't leave the house except for doctor appointments. I have stopped talking to all of my friends and have even begun to stop talking to family members unless they call me.

I just can't deal with this anymore. I can't even imagine living the rest of my life with this pain. I can't look at myself in the mirror and just feel like i am not "normal." I don't even feel like a real person if that makes… Continue

I'm Mrs. Potato head and I'm a bucket of fun...but she's looking for permanent brows...Advice.

Just getting tired of having my clean slate in the morning. I imagine myself somedays drawing in my "Angry eyebrows", while other days the "suprised eyebrows", or "sad eyebrows" "happy eyebrows"...add the hair, the eyelashes (which I still have yet to conquer successfully) and there I am...Mrs. Potato Head. It does sometimes give me the giggles when I think of it that way.

Baldy Locks and the Three Hairs!

How's that for an Alopecian Fairy Tale title? But seriously almost every day I wake up realizing I've had another dream that my hair returned. It's always the same: I still have some alopecia but my hair is long and covers all of it. When I wake I am a bit surprised and disapointed that it was just a dream. Once upon a time I used to be a knock out

I'm contemplating doing what I said I'd never do, shave my head. I'm tired of cleaning hair from all over my house on a daily basis, I almost want to cry when I take a shower, and I cant even look at myself in the mirror anymore. I am very depressed I dont want to leave my house unless i absolutely have to. I have very little hair on the top and two growing patches on the sides of my head.

I joined this site about 6 months ago, and I was not sure what the group was about. I became AA when I was 15. That was 17 years ago.

I can see now that the members here are kind of broken into 2 groups; Those whom are seeking a remedy for there gift, and those who embrace it. I am of the ladder. Second Opinion...

I got my second opinion from the private dermatologist on Wednesday.



Overall, I was more satisfied with her explanation of what was happening and felt that she did a much more thorough investigation of my scalp.

Questions..I hope someone can give me some answers..

Hi guys, so I have been struggling with shedding for the past 19 months on and off with hair shedding.
