A trip to the salon

So, my brother is getting married next weekend. It'll be outside.....by the beach....probably windy.....*sigh*



Caved in and went to the salon to get some highlights and a cut. My hair lady chose 2 different highlights to use: blond and brown. I'm a strawberry blond.....



I'm pleased that using 2 different shades has given more texture to my hair so as to better conceal the "crisis" I've been dealing with on my head. I hope that it won't be too windy since a lot of pictures… Continue

It's about time...

I have had Alopecia Areata since I was four years old and have done everything I can think of to hide it from others. I would often times style my hair put on so much hair spray to keep in place.. making sure that no one can see my spots. It worked when I was younger but as I got older the spots got bigger and were not growing anything. I was initially going to keep alopecia a secret from everyone I worked with but it's been slowly seeping out. Quick Question

My head has been itchy, basically since all this this began a few weeks ago. Oh man, has it been itchy!! But a few days ago, my head started to feel achy. Its only on the right side of my head. I cant decide what to do with my white fuzzies.

For the Record: It's been about two months since I shaved my head and...

Being Bald is Wonderful, I don't know how I survived this long without shaving my head. I've learned so much about myself and others, especially as it relates to Baldness. Here's a list of a few of the amazing things I've learned about being Bald:

It's Back!!!

Okay, I stopped shedding for almost 3 weeks but I started shedding heavily recently. I thought that maybe the Rogaine I was using had helped so I started back but now I am shedding again. Maybe it is a result of when I stopped recently or starting back the Rogaine. When I first started using it I seemed to shed alot heavier. So maybe this will take a little time.
